Jei B is a creator, graphic designer, and programmer. Some of his accomplishments involve the TF! Community (2017-2020), the Fictionverse, and his wide roster of original and derivative properties.

Early Years

I first started my journey to who I am now back in the mid-2010s, long before even Scratch. My interest in graphics and logo design was sparked initially by simple concepts like road signs and brand logos, and it would be only a few years later that I discovered creative sandbox titles like Minecraft, which also brought me into the realm of game design and programming. I knew from a very young age what I wanted to do with my life, and it was to create things, both for myself and others.

JBMC Genesis

Around this time, I also created a concept that would stick with me throughout the remainder of my career: The JBMC company. I originally envisioned it as a brand that I would someday build in real life, as a supercompany selling games, merch, and whatever else. Ultimately, its fate would end up a lot smaller. I also originally envisioned the concept of the "CO" around this time, slightly before that of JBMC.

Beginning of Code

When I initially joined Scratch in late 2016, I had no plans of starting any form of community. It was only thanks to a run-in with a certain someone that I ended up a part of the CWB project, which ultimately kick-started the Fictionverse. I also became aware of TF! for the first time, and discovered a series of projects by Pixar2000, thus launching the TF! Community. Around this time, the logo of the now prominent JBMC would manifest into a mascot-like character in the form of JBlock, and the Happy Hearts series would officially debut as a game adaptation of comics I had previously been making in my spare time.

Age of Japanime

Starting around 2020, I began to invest in anime, including popular series such as Naruto and My Hero Academia. I would eventually take an interest in more obscure series like Haikyu!! and Blend-S, both of which served as my big break as far as bringing these topics into the limelight in my community. Eventually these would spawn the creation of Jei, and the beginning of my interest in storytelling and character/world design. Strangely, I was also into Numberblocks around this time.

Waning Interests

Around this time, my primary focus in the world of branding was Rede Globo, a network from Brazil. This served as the spiritual successor to the prior TF! Community, but ultimately wouldn't last as long. After that wore off, I found myself in a strange place -- I lacked the drive to indulge in branding to the same extent as I used to. This was a turning point, as I ultimately found my next big interest in the strangest of places.

Close Your Eyes

Omori ended up being my next big fixation, the first of which to take center stage alone that wasn't a logo-based topic. Omori was a really weird era because it wasn't just about the game itself; I loved the characters, locales, and logic it brought to the table, but it also gave me something else -- an epiphany. The scenes of Sunny hanging out with his friends seen in various late-game flashbacks made me realize something: I didn't have those memories. I didn't hang out with anyone. I haven't been anyone. This was the turning point where I began to reevaluate my life up to this point, and realized I needed to start to do things for myself, not just others.

`eiJBMC

The brand of JeiJBMC came about around 2023 as I began to put effort into distancing my personal identity from that of the JBMC company I had built up over the past 10+ years. I began to invest time in creating a vast array of original characters and stories of my own, and eventually I chose a new name that better represented who I am now:

Around this time I also chose to revamp JBlock into an original persona, stripping him of the traits that previously allowed him to serve as a character in his own right. I'm now working on various projects including this website; my current topic of interest is Deltarune.
